Pultrusion is a manufacturing process that produces continuous lengths of fiberglass-reinforced plastic shapes with constant cross-sections. Adding a surface veil provides a resin-rich surface to the profile and enhances the appearance of the final product. The wetted reinforcement now enters the heated pultrusion die. The heat starts the thermoset reaction process, curing the finished profile. The cured profile is now advanced by the crawler puller to the cut-off saw where it will be cut to final length.
