Made from a high proportion of glass, pultruded fiberglass grating offers durability and extremely high unidirectional strength and stiffness, making it an ideal solution for applications requiring long support spans. MIYA combines corrosion resistance, long service life, low maintenance and low installation costs with significantly lower life cycle costs than metal.

Fiber laminates are formed into geometric shapes and pulled through heated steel molds. As the laminate is continuously pulled through the pultruder, the laminate solidifies into the precise shape of the mold cavity. The pultrusion process is a continuous process. During this process, resin, rovings, mats and surface yarns are directed into a heated mold to create a constant cross-section. Synthetic surface scrims are also added to provide a resin-rich surface for corrosion and UV protection.
